The other day I came across a great quote from one of my favourite childhood authors Dr.Seuss. If you have been reading the blog for a while you may have noticed my obsession with Dr.Seuss quotes.
So this is the quote I found " You have to be odd, to be number one! " this got me thinking. First of all I am not saying that I am the best photographer. But this is so true you have to embrace the crazy little ideas and try them out and not be afraid of failing. I'm sure the first guy to milk a cow must have been a little odd but now years later it's still benefiting society. So embracing weirdness, anybody that has had a photo shoot with me or seen me taking photos will tell you that I get a cheeky grin on my face because I have just got a weird idea, I'll normally say I know this sounds weird but trust me it will look good. And this is how I have taken most of my favourite photographs. But sometimes it doesn't work but I tried and that the important thing. Thomas ederson said he didn't fail to invent the lightbulb 1000 times, he found a 1000 ways not to make a lightbulb. So I guess what I'm trying to say is go out and embrace your weirdness and see what happens, follow those crazy ideas in the back of your mind and try something different don't be afraid of failing, because failing is what helps us to grow and improve ourselves. If you don't know Dr.Seuss I strongly recommend you have a little search and read some of his quotes! Until next time... Emerson
